Tamika L. Sea, MD
Tamika L. Sea, MD, is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, who strives to provide excellent and individualized care to the Greater South Atlanta area. She joined Schilling Women’s Center in 2012, and has continued to uphold the values of the practice, built upon promoting patient satisfaction and showing genuine concern for our patients.
Dr. Sea is a native Memphian, and began her education in Atlanta, GA where she attended Spelman College, receiving her Bachelors of Science in Biology, with double minor concentrations in Comparative Women’s Studies and Visual Arts. She then traveled back to her home of Memphis, TN to attend The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she earned her Medical Doctorate. While at UTHSC, she was a founder of the Clinica Esperanza charity clinic associated with Christ Community Clinic in Memphis, which served the underprivileged Hispanic community in the Great Memphis Area, and received the prestigious Charles C. Verstandig award. She later attended The Methodist Hospital/St. Joseph Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program in Houston, TX, where she received the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Resident of the Year award, among others.
Her fields of interest include polycystic ovarian syndrome, high-risk obstetrics, as well as utilizing laparoscopy in a multitude of gynecologic procedures.
Dr. Sea is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She also participates in community service activities with her sorority and serves as a Sister to Sister mentor at Spelman College. As her practice expands, she strives to maintain great personable skills with patient interactions, and overall, be an advocate for the patient and their needs.
